Dear the hARz 2016 racer,
In the attatched file you will find the risk declaration your team will need to fill and sign when registering. To speed up the registration process please print, fill in and sign the form prior to registering.
Registering procedure 19.00-21.00 hours
When registering you will pass 3 stations:
– Bicycle hand-in;
– Gearbag hand-in (we supply the bag per 2 persons – 30×40 cm, you supply what´s in it);
If you can´t hand-in your bicycle before 21.00 hours you can bring it to the Transition Area after the briefing and before 0.00 hours. At the end of the briefing you will receive the maps of the race. It´s a 20 minute drive one-way to the TA.
We will not check material (we will check your bicycle) at the registration, this will be done during the race. If you are not sure about some obligated equipment, please bring them to the registration.

Thale will be the hosting town of the 6th edition of the hARz adventure race whcih will take place on April 23rd and 24th 2016. This year will be different as there will be different locations for registration, briefing, overnight stay etc.
On Friday evening April 22nd all teams will be briefed in the town hall of Thale. Most likely the registration will also occur here. You will have to drop of your bicycle when registering of before the briefing. This will be announced.
The startlocation wil be either the town square or the townpark near the Bodetal. The closing ceremony will be at our organization headquarters near Thale park.
Teams should arrange there own place of stay. You can stay at Kloster camping if you want a place to camp. There are many other possibilities to be find on the internet.

Yes, that’s right, you read it very well: you can now sign in for the 6th edition of the hARz in 2016!
This year we will add a NEW category: the PRO-4. Race the 32 hours non-stop race with a team of 4. A great oppertunity to prepare yourself for your next 4-person team expedition race or just experience the great challenge of racing with more than just you and your buddy!
Our plan for now for the 2016 edition is very challenging for you as well as it is for us: 15 stages, 7 transition area’s, 279 km, 5000+ ascent, 4 disciplines and a variety of orientation methods: topographical maps, orienteering maps, aerial foto’s and compass bearings. It’s like a bag of sweets!
